Extension of the deadline for obtaining financial support for urban planning and land use in the Azores Adicionado:
Vasco Carrão and Filipa Arnaut Ramos de Carvalho wrote an article about the setting of new deadlines, namely, 31st of Decembre 2025, for the municipal and intermunicipal master plans of the Municipalities of the Autonomous Region of the Azores include the rules for the classification and qualification of soils.
As a result of the law 31/2014, of the 30th of May, territorial management is a mean of intervention in portuguese soil, whose focus is the achievement of public policy objetives for soils and land regulation, at national, regional and local level.
From the aforementioned land policy, land use planning and urban planning, private property right to land and the right to land management stand out: which collide when there is a need to impose restrictions on the private property, an imposittion that is subject, obligatorily, to the payment of fair compensation.
