The European Union's new legislative package on digital services
The European Union recently became the first jurisdiction with rules for digital platforms, publishing, within the framework of its objectives for the Digital Decade until 2030, two new Regulations with the aim of spreading European values in the digital world and thus establishing rules and guidelines for the aforementioned platforms, aiming, among others, to eliminate illegal content.
Both diplomas constitute European Union Regulations, mandatory and directly applicable in all Member States, which aim to guarantee digital markets open to competition and a safe and fair online environment across all participants, whether they are end users, professionals or service providers.
