Overtime Work | Changes to Labor Legislation
The recent changes introducted by the law n.º 13/2023 of the new Labor Code, raised the cules contained in the applicable regime of overtime work, more commonly known as “overtime”, a duty to provide information on relevant aspects in the provision of work to which employers are bound when hiring workers and throughout the duration of the employment contract. That is, the employer has the duty to inform the worker of the regime applicable in case of overtime work, which includes conditions, records, and limits for providing overtime work, as well as compensatory rest periods, when applicable.
